About Little Explorers Academy
Little Explorers Academy began in a tiny basement bedroom in 2016. After 4 years of opening, COVID and life pushed us to close for a few years. In 2025 we joyfully reopened in a new and much improved space occupying a 1200 square feet basement apartment equipped with a full kitchen and all the space we need to make this dream come true.
Our goal is simple: to make early learning a positive experience that children look forward to every day.
The preschool years are filled with some of life’s most exciting discoveries. At Little Explorers Academy, we believe children deserve a place where they can learn at their own pace, ask questions, make friends, and feel proud of what they accomplish.
Through play, hands-on activities, creative experiences, and supportive relationships, we help children develop socially, emotionally, and academically while encouraging their natural curiosity.

Learning through Play
Children don’t have to sit still to learn. We incorporate play, movement, creativity, exploration, and hands-on experiences into the learning environment.
Through these experiences, children practice communication, cooperation, problem-solving, early academic skills, and independence in ways that feel natural and enjoyable.
Our Mission
We believe play is not a break from learning - it is learning. Children are curious, capable and full of ideas, and our role is to create an environment where they can explore, discover, and grow with joy. Guided by Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), we balance child-led curiosity with intentional teaching, supporting the whole child - socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.
